Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is a pregnancy complication that affects approximately 12.4% of pregnant women in Ireland. Maternal overweight and obesity is one of the risk factors for GDM.
We developed a web-based prototype of an explainable clinical decision support system (CDSS) for the prediction of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in women with overweight and obesity. You can find more information about the CDSS here. The CDSS could potentially allow for early identification of high-risk pregnant women and interventions to prevent GDM.
